2. What data we process
Your answers and texts: The answers from the questionnaire are used exclusively to create your personal book. To write the text, they are transmitted to our AI service provider (OpenRouter, Inc., USA). They are not published, not passed on and not used for advertising purposes. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Order and payment data: Payment is processed via Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd.); your delivery and contact details (name, address, phone, email) are transmitted to our printer (Lulu Press, Inc., USA) for printing and shipping. We do not store complete payment data ourselves. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Voice recordings: Spoken answers are transmitted to the AI service provider to convert them into text and are not stored permanently.
Email address: We use it to send you the link to your book as well as order and shipping status updates (sent via Resend, Inc., USA).
3. Hosting & service providers
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA); our database and file storage run on Supabase (hosted in the EU, Frankfurt). Processors used: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database/storage), Stripe (payment), Lulu Press (printing & shipping), OpenRouter (AI text creation), Resend (email delivery). For transfers to the USA we rely on standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework), where applicable.
4. Storage period
We store project and book content for as long as necessary to provide the service and delete it no later than 12 months after delivery, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. for invoices, § 147 AO, German Fiscal Code) prevent this.
5. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR) as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. You can contact us about this at any time at support@mystooory.com.
